3D printers from Russian manufacturers are in demand in international markets. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

“The products of the first Russian manufacturers of 3D printers are in demand on international markets. With the support of the city, new equipment is delivered to the countries of the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Latin America,” – wrote he is in his Telegram channel.

Sobyanin specified that Picaso 3D is engaged in the release of models for printing. He noted that 3D printers are used in medicine, education and art. In particular, parts for medical equipment are printed on them, schoolchildren and students study the structure of viruses and test developments for their projects using models as an example. Artists and designers use 3D printers to create clothing and interior items, Sobyanin added.

The Moscow Mayor explained that the materials from which products are printed on 3D printers are fireproof, they also conduct electricity, can expand in volume and exhibit antibacterial properties. Sobyanin stressed that the Moscow Export Center (MEC) will continue to support innovative companies.

In early May, the mayor of Moscow announced that the capital’s enterprises that operate in the field of research and development, following the results of the first two months of 2023, were able to increase their turnover by a third, earning 65.4 billion rubles.
