Social assistance: the obstacle course for parents of children in shared custody

Joint custody of children, following a separation or a divorce, is not a long calm river for parents. And that’s not counting the administrative pitfalls in terms of social assistance. Since 2017, the Council of State has decided in favor of the sharing of housing allowances (APL) and RSA for parents whose “children are in a situation of alternating residence”.
