The warning comes in the wake of an increase of 3,000 cases in the last two days. On Thursday, 3168 new cases were reported, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

A fine of 1,000 riyals will be imposed for each violation and in case of repeated violations, the fine will be doubled to 100,000 riyals, ministry sources said. The ministry has reduced the recovery time for those infected with coronavirus to seven days for those who have been vaccinated and 10 days for those who have not been vaccinated. At the end of the term, their health status will be updated on the Tavalkana app.
