Professor Gondhowiardjo brings decades of experience to the table. Currently a Professor and senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology at Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital (RSCM) and the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, she’s a respected figure internationally. Her current role also includes membership in the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Applications (SAGNA) at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
But her influence extends far beyond clinical practice. Gondhowiardjo is a pioneering force in regional oncology collaboration, having co-founded and served as president of the Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation oncology (FARO), the South-East Asian Radiation Oncology Group (SEAROG), and the Indonesian radiation Oncology Society (IROS). From 2014 to 2019, she also led the National Cancer Control Committee (NCCC) Indonesia, where she played a key role in shaping national cancer policy and strategy.
