Sofia Sapega will soon return to Russia. The Belarusian side does not object to the fact that she served the rest of her term in her homeland, reports the Russian edition of Baza.
According to the lawyer Anton Gashinskymother Sofia Sapieha and her biological father filed a petition with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation to transfer their daughter to Russia. The Belarusian side agreed, as did the girl herself.
Now the Sapieha family is awaiting trial in Russia, which should establish the term for serving Sophia’s sentence in her homeland. After that, its transfer to another country will become technically possible.
Recall that in May 2022, Sapega, charged under seven articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus, was sentenced to six years in prison.
