The Society to Fight Cancer (SOLCA) Chimborazo has taken a monumental step towards the future of medical care with an investment of more than 1 million dollars in the acquisition of new technological equipment.
Last Thursday, April 4, the hospital announced the arrival of a series of cutting-edge equipment that promises to transform the diagnosis and treatment of patients both in the province and in the central area of the country.
The highlight of this renovation is the incorporation of the province’s first tomograph with artificial intelligence, the General Electric Revolution Máxima. This device offers 128-slice image quality with accurate detection of 10 millimeters of coverage and 360-degree rotation capability in just 0.35 seconds. This advancement will allow doctors to make more accurate and faster diagnoses.
Along with the tomograph, SOLCA Chimborazo has integrated a series of state-of-the-art equipment to further improve medical care:
– The C-Arm Equipment – SG- Healthcare, which provides high-quality radiographic images in vertical and horizontal movements, allowing you to reach areas that are difficult to access.
– The Aesculap laparoscopy tower, which offers Full HD and 3D images to improve precision in surgeries.
– The Flexible Cystoscope equipment, which facilitates the diagnosis and treatment of patients by providing detailed images of the urethra, prostate and bladder cavity.
– Plasma Trans Urethral Resection of Bipolar Prostate, which guarantees safety and efficiency in surgical procedures.
With this new equipment, more than 6 thousand patients will benefit directly, making SOLCA Chimborazo one of the main hospitals in the central area of the country in terms of advanced medical technology and highly trained specialists.
