The RA Central Committee informs that on July 26, 2023, the body of Murad Seryozhai Grigoryan, a soldier of the same military unit, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head in the combat position of the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, in the area adjacent to the basement. Next to the latter, lying on the ground, the machine gun attached to him was found.
“Regarding the case, in the Eighth Garrison Investigative Department of the Military Investigative Main Department of the RA Investigative Committee, a criminal proceeding was initiated and an investigative team was formed, in accordance with Article 523, Part 2, Clause 3 of the RA Criminal Code.
As a result of the investigative and other investigative actions taken during the preliminary investigation, it was found that due to the insult uttered during the conversation about a personal matter between Murad Grigoryan, who was serving in the same combat position, and his fellow serviceman, mandatory conscript A.H., Murad Grigoryan, the latter’s attached PC A.H. inflicted the fatal gunshot wound with a shot fired from a type of machine gun.
A public criminal prosecution was initiated against the latter, and he was charged under part 1 of Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code.
In the presented accusation, AH pleaded guilty and repented for his actions.
On July 28, a motion was submitted to the court to select his detention as a preventive measure, which was granted,” the report said.
