by time news

The first hearing of the case is scheduled for June 1, it follows from the filing of arbitration cases. The plaintiff was Russian Media LLC, which owns the SoundStream platform and in which Marov is the main shareholder. The claim was filed against a subsidiary of the holding, GPM Radio LLC. The reason for the proceedings was the failure of GPM Radio to comply with the binding agreement concluded with the co-owners of Russian Media in November 2019, Marov told Vedomosti. According to him, the agreement was part of a deal to sell Gazprom-Media the company’s assets – the SoundStream podcast platform, which has collected more than 300,000 podcasts, PodFM hosting and a podcast studio. He claims that according to the agreement, within a month – by the end of December 2020 – the parties had to sign the agreements that formalize the deal.

According to Marov, the agreement provided for the platform to be modernized at its own expense before the sale, Russian Media, in particular, improving hosting and increasing content. To carry out this work, Marov, as a private person, provided a loan to Russian Media in the amount of “about 11 million rubles.”
