Since April 22, 2024, France has officially had a second astronaut. After a year of intensive training, Sophie Adenot and her classmates received their certificates from ESA, the European Space Agency. A ceremony also attended by Thomas Pesquet, a graduate in 2010, who shared with the public his two missions aboard the ISS. Will Sophie Adenot benefit from a similar aura? We asked the question to Baptiste Coulon, journalist in RFI’s France service, he returned from Cologne where this diploma ceremony took place.
