SpaceX canceled a record-breaking Falcon Heavy rocket launch a minute before liftoff. The company broadcast the launch live.

The launch manager stopped the countdown at the 59th second for an undisclosed reason. According to RIA Novosti, another attempt to launch a rocket can take place at least in a day. The Falcon Heavy launch vehicle was supposed to put into orbit the ViaSat 3 Americas satellites used to provide Internet signal in rural areas, on passenger airliners and ships.

This launch was to follow the launch of the SpaceX-owned Falcon 9 launch vehicle with O3b mPOWER satellites, which took place at 1.12 Moscow time on Saturday. Given that the second launch was supposed to take place at about 2.29 Moscow time from a nearby launch pad, this would be a record in terms of the shortest “window” between launches. In addition, such “group” launches in the United States have not been carried out since 1966.
