A total of 139 Spaniards and family members who resided in Gaza They landed this Thursday at the Torrejón military airportin Madrid, putting an end to a joint evacuation operation between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that has lasted three days.
They arrived around six in the afternoon on an Armed Forces A330 plane. These are 85 Hispanic-Palestinians and their families. Among them there are 64 minors, three of them babies.
They were received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, and the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles. Robles has charged against what she considers “absolutely indiscriminate violence in Gaza”. Albares has expressed his “happiness” that they are safe and has stressed the need for a ceasefire and, afterwards, a peace conference to be held.
