With an incognito mode, the savings banks increase user privacy in their app. Another feature has been added.
The Sparkasse app has a new function: incognito mode. This is reported by the online magazine “iPhone-ticker”. In version 6.8.0, users can hide the display of amounts in the application to protect them from prying eyes.
This can be useful if Sparkasse customers want to check their account transactions in the app while on the train or tram. It is said that when the incognito mode is switched on, five dots can be seen instead of the amounts of money.
The function can be activated via an eye symbol at the top left of the app.
As “iPhone-ticker” further writes, further innovations have been added to the new version of the Sparkasse app. In addition to performance improvements, this also includes the ability to “open an account directly in the app”.
The Sparkasse app received its last major update two years ago with version 6.0 for smartphones and tablets. A new look improved the usability of the application.
Since then, the application has, among other things, a so-called dark mode in addition to a light mode. Since then, users have been able to use the program in a light or dark design. Using the dark design uses less power and protects the battery.
Since version 6.0, there has also been a bar on the homepage for quick access to functions such as “transfer”, “search for branch” and “block card”.
With the so-called tab bar, users can easily navigate the app and sort accounts according to their preferences. Navigation is on the bottom page in the app. A personal customer advisor is also displayed in the application and can be contacted if necessary.
