An exclusive first look at the trailer for the upcoming Irish film spilt Milk has been released, ahead of its theatrical debut in Ireland on March 20.The film centers on 11-year-old Bobby O’Brien, a boy captivated by the world of detective work-specifically, his television hero Kojak.Driven by his aspirations, Bobby establishes his own private inquiry business alongside his best freind, Nell, and together they embark on a persistent search for Bobby’s older brother, Oisín.
The film introduces Cillian Sullivan in his debut feature role as Bobby, with naoise Kelly portraying Nell Casey. The supporting cast features Danielle galligan, Laurence O’fuarain, Pom Boyd, and Lewis Brophy.
Spilt Milk premiered internationally at the Tallinn black Nights International Film Festival and later secured the MUBI Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival.The film’s success on the festival circuit highlights its critical acclaim and audience appeal before its wider release.
The film received nominations at the IFTA Awards, including Best Film, with Brian Durnin recognized for Best Director and Cara Loftus for Best Script. Gwen Jeffares hourie was also nominated for her Costume Design. These nominations underscore the high production value and creative talent involved in bringing Spilt Milk to life.
Spilt Milk is a production of Laura McNicholas for 925 Productions and James Heath for Randan, with Cormac Fox of Vico Films serving as executive producer. The collaborative effort of these production companies ensured the film’s completion and distribution.
