With the AI software Boomy, even people who are completely talentless can mechanically create pieces of music in a matter of seconds. According to the company, users have produced more than 14 million songs so far.
Fraudsters also use AI:They upload the songs they create with Boomy to streaming services and have them played by online bots – fake users posing as human listeners. The retrievals of the titles earn them money through royalties.

The AI music generator Boomy announced that they categorically reject any kind of manipulation or artificial streaming. “We are working with industry partners to resolve the issue.”
