The meeting of the committee’s deputy chairmen Shushanik Nersisyan and Ashot Muradyan with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the regional coordinator of the Container Control Program of the World Customs Organization, Naida Shamilova, took place in the State Revenue Committee.
During the meeting with SRC Deputy Chairman Shushanik Nersisyan, questions were discussed regarding the organization of training courses aimed at developing the capabilities of the Joint Control Unit to be formed from the representatives of the law enforcement agencies involved in the project.
During the meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Committee Ashot Muradyan, the issues related to the clarification of the dates of signing the “Memorandum of Understanding between the United Nations and the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, and the Police of the Republic of Armenia” were addressed.
The parties have expressed their willingness to activate active steps to complete the processes related to the Republic of Armenia joining the Container Control Program.
