“Star Academy”: Ahcène and Cenzo eliminated, Julien again saved by the public

by time news

Nikos had taken out the bow tie for the occasion! This Saturday evening on TF 1, an orchestra of 40 musicians was present on stage to accompany the students of the “Star Academy”. Of the twelve remaining, four risked elimination: Stanislas, Cenzo, Ahcène and Julien. And at the end of an endless show, it was Cenzo and Ahcène who had to leave the castle for good. The votes of the public made it possible to save Julien for the second consecutive Saturday, then the students chose to keep Stanislas (4 votes, against 3 for Ahcène and 1 for Cenzo). A conclusion full of tears on the side of Anisha who had the decisive vote.

The show had been well launched by the orchestra and Gims who gave us shivers before the entrance on stage of Enola (who was doing a bit too much) and Tiana, more measured than the previous week with Naps. This third bonus was strewn with moments of nostalgia. First with the presence of Matthieu Gonet, former coach of the show, at the direction of the orchestra. Nikos called it “Proust’s madeleine”, before adding: “I have the impression that Grégory will arrive”, in reference to Grégory Lemarchal, former winner who died in 2007 and to whom the next bonus will be dedicated.

A totally failed tribute, on the other hand, to Daniel Levi during a cover of “L’Envie d’aimer”, with an approximate pronunciation by Anisha, then joined by all the students who were not named. Carla, in particular, distinguished herself by her false notes.

Thanks to Nikos for his inspired interventions. Evoking an “iconic” scene by speaking of Chris who cleaned while dancing, then presenting Véronique Sanson in the following sentence by qualifying her as an “icon”, it had to be done. And the presenter to revive the singer in an interminable way after a rather failed trio with Chris and Paola who seemed lost. Anisha, Louis and Carla did a little better singing with Zaz.

Louis takes a dip in the crowd

Hats off to Paola, convincing on the dance table that Professor Yanis Marshall had reserved for her on “Let me dance”. “It was sublime”, launched the choreographer who wore sunglasses that shone with a thousand lights. Much more laborious on the other hand for Louis who sang “Too Young” with the group Hyphen Hyphen, despite a great energy. The young man and singer Santa even jumped into the audience who carried them. “I was afraid to do a Shy’m”, launched Louis, best reply of the evening, referring to a memorable fall of the singer at Bercy in 2015.

The duet between Léa and Tiana on “In another world” by Céline Dion could have been one of the best moments of the evening if the youngest of 16 years old had not forgotten almost all of the words of the first verse. Later, the girl ensemble shone in sequined costumes on Abba’s “Dancing Queen.” Note that at the end of the week’s evaluations, the top 3 students were 100% female with Enola in first place, Anisha second and Paola in third place.

Among the named students – Stanislas, Cenzo, Ahcène and Julien – the first opened the ball with a nice “Tell me” from BB Brunes. Cenzo for his part sang with emotion “Lonely”, by Justin Bieber. The tender register of Ahcène on “the Mills of my heart”, of Michel Legrand, moved Laure Balon, the teacher of scenic expression. Finally, Julien offered a nice “Because we come from far away” from Corneille. “Julien could have done better”, dropped the director of the “Star Academy”, Michael Goldman, which did not reduce the enthusiasm of the public.

Before the final verdict, Enola delivered a solid duet with the Englishman Tom Gregory then Chris and Carla had fun with Keen’V on “Outété” despite major microphone problems. Recurring technical issues that will finally be resolved, we hope, next week.
