State Level Cricket Tournament: KCT, College Champion Dinamalar

Coimbatore: Kumaraguru College won the state-level inter-college cricket final at Sathyamangalam and clinched the trophy. State-level cricket tournament for students was conducted by Sathyamangalam Pannariamman Technical College. More than 20 teams from different parts of the state participated and competed in the ‘knockout’ mode. Kumaraguru Technical College, which performed well in the first round, faced Pannariyamman College in the finals. Batting first, KCT scored 121 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Manimaran of the KCT team added 39 runs. Pannariamman College, who came in later, was all out for 39 runs in 11.4 overs. With this, KCT team won by 82 runs. Charan of KCT took four wickets. The winning team was awarded 10,000 rupees in cash, trophy and medals. KCT, College Associate Dean Shankar Vanavarayar and Physical Education Directors congratulated the winning students.
