Stefon Diggs Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault,Files libel Counterclaim
NFL star Stefon Diggs is embroiled in a legal battle after being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a social media influencer,prompting a libel lawsuit from the athlete.
New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon diggs has filed a libel lawsuit against Christopher Blake Griffith,responding to claims made by Griffith alleging sexual assault and a conspiracy to cause him harm. Court documents, filed on October 1st and initially obtained by TMZ, detail Diggs’ assertion that Griffith fabricated a story surrounding an alleged incident at Diggs’ Rockville, Maryland home in May 2023.
According to the lawsuit, Diggs, Griffith, and a group of other influencers attended a charity basketball game in Washington, D.C., followed by an outing to a local club. The group then reportedly returned to Diggs’ residence.diggs claims that after arriving home, he retired to his bedroom and his assistant requested that Griffith leave the premises.
However, Griffith later took to social media, alleging that Diggs “drugged and attempted to sexually assault” him, and further claimed Diggs conspired to have him killed. The allegations were reportedly posted to Griffith’s Instagram account, which boasts nearly 100,000 followers, and included tags directed at Ugg and actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who had previously collaborated with Diggs on a campaign for the footwear brand.
Diggs,31,is seeking unspecified damages and attorney’s fees to address the alleged defamation.
In a statement provided to Page Six, Jake Lebowitz of Posey Lebowitz PLLC, representing Griffith, vehemently denied Diggs’ claims, characterizing them as “fabricated.” “Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York Lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks,” Lebowitz stated. “Not only will we defend against these false allegations but our counterclaims for sexual battery will be filed shortly.”
Griffith previously voiced his displeasure in August, sharing on his Instagram Stories that he was “disgusted” Ugg continued to employ Diggs as a brand ambassador following the filing of a police report regarding the alleged 2023 encounter.
The police report, shared by Griffith, alleges that diggs offered him “candy” unknowingly “laced with drugs.” He further claims Diggs allegedly “put his tongue” in his ear in a “kissing” fashion. Griffith also alleges he was confronted by three individuals who attempted to coerce his silence regarding the alleged events.
According to the report, Griffith was subsequently “stripped” of his clothing, “robbed” of his belongings, “beaten and forced into a car” and transported to an unknown location. Diggs has denied these accusations. The report also claims Diggs “conspired” to suppress data about his “gay/bisexual secrets.”
Diggs recently welcomed a child with rapper cardi B.He is also a father to daughters Nova and Charliee, with paternity of Charliee confirmed in September 2025 following a legal challenge filed by Aileen Lopera.
