Peugeot’s E-T16 and RCZ Vision Debut at Paris Expo

Peugeot brought two distinct concepts to the exhibition, anchored by a high-performance tribute to its rally heritage. The E-T16 Concept draws direct inspiration from the 205 Turbo 16 that secured world rally titles in 1985 and 1986. Unlike its historical predecessor, the modern study relies entirely on battery power, utilizing a three-motor setup developed alongside Peugeot Sport that delivers a combined 816 horsepower.

The layout distributes torque across one motor on the front axle and two independent motors on the rear wheels. Performance figures released for the project include a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 2.5 seconds and a 0 to 300 km/h run in 16 seconds. The vehicle operates on an 800-volt electrical system, houses an 85 kWh battery with lateral cell cooling, and targets a charging time of under 15 minutes from 10 to 80 percent using a compatible connection. Despite its specifications, the automaker does not plan to bring the E-T16 to production, though elements of its design language will influence the next-generation 208 due by 2028.

The brand’s second vehicle, the RCZ Vision, revives the spirit of the brand’s coupe through a four-seat layout featuring double-bubble roof arches. Built on the STLA One platform, the RCZ Vision integrates solid-state battery technology and a 1,000-volt architecture to achieve up to 600 kilometers of driving range and a ten-minute recharge window for 10 to 80 percent capacity while producing 500 horsepower.

Alfa Romeo and Brand Concepts Expand the Display

Alfa Romeo contributed a 4.70-meter study. The coupé explores a multi-energy architecture capable of supporting Quadrifoglio trims. Performance projections for the platform pair a 2.9-liter V6 full hybrid system with Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque-converter automatic transmission, and a carbon fiber driveshaft.

The rest of the corporate showcase includes contributions from Opel, DS, and Fiat. Opel presented a concept. DS displayed the DS F3VER, a 4.19-meter vehicle with a 400-liter cargo capacity designed under a material-reduction philosophy named Design Intelligence. Fiat exhibited the Multiplay, a 4.45-meter modular vehicle combining monospace, pickup, and SUV traits through a sliding rear structure.
