A fractured shoulder couldn’t dim the magic as Stevie Nicks delivered a captivating performance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on November 19, 2025, proving her enduring power as a rock icon. The show, a make-up date for previously postponed August and September tour stops, resonated with fans and underscored Nicks’ remarkable career and continued influence.
Initially fearing her performing days were over following the injury, Nicks shared with the eager crowd: “Because of you, I said to myself on the very first day that I got back to L.A., ‘Well, I’m not going to deal with this well, so I’m going to have to just get well’…”
The devotion of her fanbase, exemplified by events like the “Night of 1000 Stevies,” further solidifies her multigenerational appeal.
The concert itself defied expectations, opening with a surprising cover of the Crickets’ “Not Fade Away.” This choice, in the context of her decades-long career, felt both unexpected and fitting. The evening then seamlessly transitioned between beloved Fleetwood Mac classics – including electrifying renditions of “dreams,” “Gypsy,” and “Gold Dust Woman” – and highlights from her solo work, notably from the 1980s,such as powerful performances of “Stand Back,” “If Anyone Falls,” and “Bella Donna.”
Remembering Lost Friends and Celebrating Life
Nicks also showcased her more recent material, performing “The Lighthouse,” released last year. The show was deeply poignant, with heartfelt tributes to those she’s lost. The memory of Tom Petty loomed large during performances of “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” their 1981 duet, and Petty’s solo hit “Free Fallin'”.
Additionally, Nicks honored her late fleetwood Mac bandmate, Christine McVie, with a moving slideshow of photographs projected on the video screen.
An Electrifying Performance and a Message of Joy
The band reached a fever pitch with an electrifying rendition of “Edge of Seventeen,” driven by the distinctive guitar riffs of longtime collaborator Waddy Wachtel. The encore delivered exactly what the audience craved: the iconic “Rhiannon” and the melancholic beauty of “Landslide.”
Throughout the evening, Nicks captivated the audience with her signature stage presence – the flowing shawls, the graceful twirling – and a voice that remains remarkably commanding and eloquent. At 77 years old, she offered a simple yet profound message to the cheering crowd: “dance,” whether it’s in the kitchen or while trying to fall asleep. “I find that is what has probably gotten me to 77 years old,” she explained, before adding, “mostly just dance for me. I love you all and I’ll see you next time!”
