Stock Market | Sensex down 304 points | Sensex started with 300 pts drops

Mumbai: Today (Tuesday) trade in Mumbai stock market started with decline. The Sensex fell 263 points to 60,484 in opening trade. Similarly, the Nifty fell 71 points to 18,028 on the NSE.

Today’s trading began with a dip in the equity markets, with the Sensex falling another 304.45 points to 60,442.86 as of 09:48 am. The Nifty was down 81.40 points at 18,019.80 on the national bourse.

Indian equity markets opened lower today due to the global turmoil and impact on quarterly results ended December. Both Sensex and Nifty were down 0.4 percent in early trade.

As far as individual stocks are concerned, Tata Motors, , Tata Steel, M&M, Hindustan Unilever, Titan Company, L&T were higher. Nestlé India, Wipro, Reliance Industries, Asian Paints, ITC, HDFC and State Bank of India were the losers.
