Jeddah: Commander of the Hajj Security Force, Lt. Gen. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Basami, said that any negative actions that disrupt the security of the holy places during the Hajj will be strictly prevented. This was stated in the press conference of the Hajj security forces.

The Home Minister has approved two security schemes to maintain the safety of Hajj. Security forces have cordoned off the entire border areas of the holy places to nab violators. 288 Saudi citizens and residents have been arrested for violating Hajj regulations and 63 fake Hajj organizers have been arrested. Those who try to enter the holy places without permission will be fined 10,000 riyals. Pilgrims must adhere to the schedule while going to the Jamras and during the Farewell Tawaf. As many as 2,062 people working to perform Hajj illegally have been arrested. 99,792 people who did not obtain the necessary permits to enter Makkah were arrested. The head of Hajj Security Force said that 69,663 vehicles that brought people without permission to Makkah have been sent back.

Hajj Civil Defense Commander Major General Dr. Hamood bin Sulaiman Alfaraj clarified. The Civil Defense Commander said that there are special teams to check the safety of the roads and residences where the pilgrims pass and to ensure fire protection systems. Special Emergency Forces Commander Major General Mohammad Bin Maqbool Al-Amri said that emergency forces will be present in the south of the Haram and at public transport stations to reduce congestion. The commander said that the forces will be involved in crowd control and protection of pilgrims at the Haram and holy places. Hajj Passport Force Commander Major General Saleh Al Muraba said that the arrival of pilgrims from abroad has been completed. The commander said that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will coordinate with Civil Aviation to send the pilgrims to their countries after Hajj.
