Strike of March 28: metro, RER… line-by-line traffic disruptions in Île-de-France

Another dark day on the rails. Traffic will be “very disrupted” this Tuesday on the RER network and “disturbed” in the metros, with an average of three out of five trains on lines A and B, for the 10th day of mobilization against the pension reform, announced this Monday the RATP. With regard to Ile-de-France transport, the SNCF announces “strong disturbances” on Tuesday.

As has been the case since the start of the protest movement, on this day of strike, the RATP “invites all travelers who have the possibility to favor teleworking or to postpone their trips”. Here are the traffic forecasts refined by the management this Monday, a few hours before the new strike.

Metro

In the Paris metro, disturbances should be less than last week, even if the majority of lines will experience reductions in the frequency of passage of trains and/or timetable restrictions. No station closures are planned due to the strike.

Ligne 1 : normal traffic.

Ligne 2 : normal traffic in the morning and 3 out of 4 trains in the afternoon. Insured only between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Ligne 3 : 1 out of 2 trains.

Line 3a: normal traffic.

Ligne 4 : normal traffic in the morning, 3 trains out of 4 in the afternoon. Please note that due to automation work, the line will be closed at 10:15 p.m.

Ligne 5 : 1 train out of 2 in the morning and 1 train out of 3 in the afternoon.

Ligne 6 : 2 out of 3 trains.

Ligne 7 : 2 out of 3 trains.

Line 7a: normal traffic.

Ligne 8 : 1 train out of 2 in the morning and 2 trains out of 3 in the evening. Traffic guaranteed only between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and end of service.

Ligne 9 : normal traffic.

Ligne 10 : 1 out of 2 trains.

Ligne 11 : 3 out of 4 trains in the morning and normal in the afternoon. Traffic guaranteed only between 5.30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Please note that due to works, the line will be closed between Belleville and Mairie des Lilas all day.

Ligne 12 : 2 out of 3 trains.

Ligne 13 : 2 trains out of 3 in the morning and 1 train out of 3 in the afternoon. Traffic guaranteed only between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Ligne 14 : regular traffic. Please note that due to work related to the extension, the line will be closed at 10 p.m.

Bus et tramways

Traffic is also announced as “normal” for buses and trams in Paris. For Ile-de-France lines, such as the T4the T11 and the T13the service will be “normal to near normal”.

RER

RER A : 3 out of 5 trains on average. 1 train in 2 SNCF zones between Nanterre Préfecture and Poissy/Cergy. The interconnection is maintained at Nanterre Prefecture.

RER B : 3 out of 5 trains on average. 1 train in 2 SNCF zones. The interconnection is maintained at Gare du Nord.

RER C : 1 train out of 3 on average.

RER D: 2 out of 5 trains on average. The interconnection is maintained between Châtelet-les-Halles and Paris Gare de Lyon.

RER E : 3 out of 5 trains on average.

Transilien

Ligne H : 2 out of 3 trains on average.

Line J: 2 out of 3 trains on average.

K-line: 1 in 2 trains on average

Line L: 2 out of 3 trains on average.

Line N: 1 out of 2 trains on average.

Ligne P : 2 out of 3 trains on average.

Ligne R : 3 out of 5 trains on average. Please note that on the Montereau branch via Héricy, trains only run during peak hours.

Ligne U : 2 out of 3 trains on average.
