The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reports that it has managed to prove that Mark Antony Simmons Anderson intended to evade $12,609,465.49 in taxes for a million-dollar shipment of merchandise, using false documentation.

Due to this fact, he will remain in provisional prison while the investigations against him continue.

Initially, he reported that they were plastic chairs, but customs agents verified that the shipment was shoes, purses and sunglasses of different brands.

The accused faced an Initial Hearing before the Peace Court of Candelaria de La Frontera for the crime of Smuggling of Merchandise, Use and Possession of False Documents.
