Subman Gill is the owner of various records as he scored a century in the last ODI against New Zealand as well.

The current shining star of the Indian cricket team is the opening batsman Subman Gill. Gill, who joined the record list with a double century in the first match against New Zealand, scored a century in today’s match as well. In today’s match, he shared a new record with captain Rohit Sharma in opening batsmen’s partnership.

That partnership set a new record by scoring 204 runs. Not only that, Gill also registered his 4th century today. It was his second century against New Zealand. Gill, who scored 112 off 78 balls with 5 sixes and 13 fours, was bowled by Tickner. With his century in today’s match, Gill joined the list of 4th century scorers in the shortest innings.

This record was achieved by another Indian player Shikhar Dhawan in 24 innings and West Indies player Hedmyer in 22 innings. Subman Gill has broken this in 21 innings today. Pakistan player Inzamam Al Huq tops the list with 9 innings. Subman Gill also became the top run-scorer in the three-match series between the two countries.

Pakistan’s Babar Asamoah has joined at the top of the list. Had Gill scored one more run in today’s match, Babar would have broken the Assam record. It was out of the question. Both are at the top with 360 runs. Assam achieved this feat against West Indies in 2016. Also, he has scored 3 centuries within 24 days of his birth in the year 2023.

He scored 116 off 97 balls in the last ODI against Sri Lanka on 15th January, 208 off 149 balls against New Zealand in the first ODI on 18th January and 112 off 78 balls against the same New Zealand today. In other words, he has scored 3 hundreds within 10 days. It is noteworthy that in this series, he scored 40 runs and remained unbeaten in the last match as well.
