Summer Walker Announces ‘Finally Over It’ Release Date, Hints at Star-Studded Collaborations
The highly anticipated third studio album from R&B sensation Summer Walker is officially slated for release on November 14, bringing to a close her critically acclaimed “Over It” trilogy.
Summer Walker’s latest project has been the subject of much speculation, and the singer addressed some burning questions directly with fans through a unique reveal: a six-minute lie detector test shared on her YouTube channel. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOUR_YOUTUBE_VIDEO_LINK]
During the test, Walker confirmed the inclusion of rapper Latto on “Finally Over It,” and tantalizingly suggested that more prominent female rappers will also feature on the album. The artist hinted that some of the collaborators may be familiar faces from her “Over It Radio” program, naming Sexyy Red and Yung Miami as potential guests.
Walker definitively shut down rumors of a collaboration with London on da Track, the producer and father of her eldest child. “Absolutely not,” she stated, clarifying that while London contributed to her previous albums, Over It and Still Over It, he will not be involved in this project. The decision comes even after his credited involvement in Still Over It following their separation.
Looking back to her 2019 debut album, Walker revealed plans to revisit past collaborations. The original 18-track project boasted an impressive lineup including Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Usher, and Drake, sparking excitement among fans about potential reunions.
The singer also addressed the possibility of working with Chris Brown, responding with a noncommittal “Maybe.” However, she did confirm plans to embark on another tour following her current run opening for Brown on the “Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour.” Walker recently expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “There’s honestly nothing no one can say to me anymore. I’m content [with] life.”
While songs like “Heart Of A Woman” are confirmed to be on the album, “Spend It” will not be included in the final tracklist, according to information available through Apple Music’s pre-save link.
“Finally Over It” represents not only a new chapter in Walker’s career but also the culmination of a musical journey that began in 2019, solidifying her position as a leading voice in contemporary R&B.
