The managers of the supplementary pension plan for private sector employees finally won their case. Agirc-Arrco will be able to keep control of the collection of contributions, the government announced on Tuesday, putting an end to months of arm wrestling with the social partners who run the scheme.

“We have decided not to continue the unification project for the collection of Agirc-Arrco contributions”, declared the Minister of Labor, Olivier Dussopt, presenting the pension reform alongside the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne on Tuesday. “We wanted to remove a number of irritants,” justified the minister.
