The projects to support businessmen displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, which we developed and presented to the government, will undergo some changes. Deputy Minister of Economy Rafael Gevorgyan told the press conference. He informed that the changes are planned as a result of discussions after the meeting with businessmen displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The deputy minister mentioned what issues were mainly raised by businessmen from Artsakh. According to him, some of them were short-term technical questions related to the interaction of the tax system, so that they could work as quickly and smoothly as possible in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. They are solvable.
“In the medium term, there were more questions about the programs, what is being implemented and what can be used,” he said and noted that at the moment, the extensive program of private sector development is the economic modernization measure, within the framework of which a loan agreement of 2,500 will be signed. , more than 400 million dollars were made available to RA citizens with preferential interest.
“The program also worked in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and after the displacement those businessmen who want to be part of the program will have it,” he said and noted that more than 50-60 percent of them were signed with small and medium enterprises.
To the question of when the majority of businessmen can resume their activities in RA, Rafael Gevorgyan answered that it will be different from case to case. “It depends on what kind of business it is, whether it’s all lost or a part is here, it depends on various factors when they can start.”
It was reported that a new meeting is scheduled for October 12 with those factories displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, which worked in the agricultural sector.
