Sushma Singh has been rescuing animals since the age of nine, you must know the story of her family who is engaged in serving the voiceless by turning their house into a shelter home.
You must have seen many people who love the dumb animals, but today we will introduce you to a person who has decided to spend his whole life only for the care of the dumb animals. Since the age of nine, Sushma Singh of Patiala has been working to provide shelter to the voiceless in her home. Today his house has become a home for 85 voiceless people. Where their family takes care of them together. Most of the animals living near them are injured and helpless.
While talking to The Better India Hindi, Sushma said that all these animals are like her children and she has not even married to take care of them. Today, along with her brother and her 70-year-old mother, they help 300 animals of their area every day. He also cooks food for and serves the paralyzed animals living in his house.
42 year old Sushma works in a private college and is spending her entire salary to provide shelter to these injured and voiceless people. For the last 30 years, she was running this business only on the basis of her family’s savings and earnings. His mother has even sold all her jewelery for this work. But he did not keep his beloved and mute animals hungry even for a day. Sushma has to spend around Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh every month to run this work smoothly. There came a time when he started feeling acute shortage of funds for this work.
Therefore, he started an organization named ‘Chaupaya Jeev Raksha Foundation’, through which he is also getting the help of some friends. Despite this, they are always in need of funds and resources. They need your support to make this initiative easier for them. Sushma believes that not everyone can serve the voiceless by making their house a shelter home like her, but they can definitely make the work of others easier by extending a helping hand.
