Suspect arrested in leak of confidential documents

US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday announced the arrest of an Air National Guard employee suspected of leaking confidential defense documents raising fears of a “very high” risk to US national security.

Suspect Jack Teixeira “was arrested without incident” and is due to appear in court in the state of Massachusetts (northeast) soon, Merrick Garland said at a brief press conference.
