Nintendo’s Black Friday 2025 Sale: Early Deals on Switch and Switch 2 Games Are Live

Nintendo’s Black Friday 2025 sale has officially begun, with discounts of up to 50% available across a wide range of Switch and Switch 2 games starting November 23rd and running through November 29th. Industry observers note that, despite Black Friday traditionally beginning on November 28th, many retailers are launching deals earlier than ever, offering consumers the opportunity to secure savings now.

The current lineup is being hailed as one of Nintendo’s strongest in recent memory, with compelling offers for both first-party and third-party titles. “Most of the real deals tend to be available to browse already,” one retail analyst stated, encouraging shoppers to begin their search immediately.

First-Party Favorites See Significant Discounts

When it comes to Nintendo’s own titles, Super Mario Odyssey currently stands out as a top pick, available for just $30. The critically acclaimed game, which ranked fourth on IGN’s “Top 100 Nintendo Games of All Time,” represents a substantial saving for players. Other first-party titles seeing price reductions include Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Remake, Splatoon 3, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, all available for $29.99 or $39.99.

Switch 2 Owners Benefit from Third-Party Deals

The arrival of the Switch 2 is also being reflected in the Black Friday offerings, with a number of third-party titles seeing discounts specifically for the new console. Star Wars Outlaws, including all downloadable content, is available for $39.99 on Switch 2 – a $20 reduction from its original price. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, a recent release, is also discounted to $44.99.

Notably, Final Fantasy’s 1-6 Pixel Collection is available for $39.99, representing a $35 discount and the lowest price ever recorded for the game. This collection includes Final Fantasy 6, which currently sits at 19th place on IGN’s “Top 100 Nintendo Games of All Time.” Additional discounts are available on popular titles like Red Dead Redemption, EA SPORTS FC 26, Monster Hunter Stories Collection, and Just Dance 2026.

Beyond Games: MicroSD Cards and Amiibo on Sale

The savings aren’t limited to software. A significant discount is available on the recently released Samsung P9 512GB MicroSD Express card, now priced at $74.99 after a 25% instant discount. Amiibo figures are also seeing price reductions, with Tears of the Kingdom amiibo – Riju and Sidon – available for $9.99 at Amazon and Best Buy, matching the price on Tulin and Yunobo. Street Fighter amiibo are discounted to $14.99 at Best Buy.

How Do These Deals Stack Up?

While the current offers are attractive, comparisons to last year’s Black Friday sales reveal a mixed picture. “While $30 for a Switch game like Super Mario Odyssey is a superb deal, we’re lacking discounts on some other notable Switch or Switch 2 games,” one source commented.

Notably, there are currently no official discounts on newer titles like Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, or Mario Kart World. Furthermore, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which was available for $29.99 last year, is not currently discounted, a move some attribute to Nintendo’s strategy surrounding the Switch 2. “That would make buying it for $70 unappealing,” one observer noted, highlighting the company’s reluctance to offer significant discounts on titles that may encourage players to remain with the original Switch.

Should You Buy Now or Wait?

Despite the ongoing nature of Black Friday promotions, experts suggest that the current deals are likely to hold. “Once a Switch deal hits, it usually sticks for the rest of the sale,” a veteran Nintendo sales tracker explained. “That means the prices you see now on consoles, games, and accessories are very likely the ones that’ll hold through to December.”

The advice is clear: if you’ve been waiting for a solid deal, there’s little reason to delay. These offers are considered reliable, worthwhile, and unlikely to improve further. Grab the games and hardware you’ve had your eye on, and avoid the risk of Black Friday regret.
