Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin was extradited from Switzerland to the United States. The Swiss Federal Office of Justice said US police officers detained him in Zurich and escorted him during the flight. The entrepreneur is accused of insider trading.
The businessman was arrested in March. The Federal Office of Justice ordered the extradition of the Russian in June. On the eve of the Swiss Federal Court dismissed the appeal of the defense and the decision came into force. The US accuses the businessman of conducting “tens of millions of insider deals.”
Vladislav Klyushin owns the M13 company. She created a media and social media monitoring system called Katyusha. The company’s website claims that it is used by the presidential administration, government and other federal and regional departments. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the proximity of Mr. Klyushin to the Russian authorities, said that Russia “is close to all the citizens of the country.”
