She just likes to let fans participate in her beautiful life …

A bitter experience for TV star Sylvie Meis (45). While she was on vacation in Ibiza, strangers climbed into her apartment in Hamburg over scaffolding on the neighboring house last week. According to the “Hamburger Abendblatt”, they stole handbags worth 800,000 euros.

Was Sylvie too frank? The thieves obviously knew what loot to expect in the dressing room. In particular, Hermès pieces (costing between 10,000 and 25,000 euros) are said to have been stolen.

Dirk Bienert (47), owner of the security company Blockalarm in Munich, on BILD: “Since 2016 it has happened that perpetrators spy on celebrities on social networks and break in at a favorable moment. In general, you shouldn’t show your luxury items there. You lure the perpetrators with it.”

Apparently no alarm system went off

The perpetrators use scaffolding on a side street to get to the roof of the house where Sylvie’s apartment is located. There they levered open a skylight, then climbed in. Apparently no alarm system went off.

Security expert Bienert: “Many only react when they have been broken into and they have been injured. And most who have an alarm system installed have outdated alarm systems. They’re easy to trick and report the break-in, but don’t prevent it. But once the perpetrators are in the house, it’s too late.”

Sylvie Meis loves her handbags. “I see them as life companions,” said the 2020 TV star. Her first designer bag was a ‘Speedy’ from Louis Vuitton. Now the shock: The perpetrators are said to have taken almost 25 pieces, as well as jewelry.

Above all, the perpetrators stole the Hermès models (the green version in the photo) from Sylvie. Depending on the design, they cost more than 100,000 euros

Who pays the damage? Sylvie Meis’ household contents insurance is responsible.

David Sahlender is a specialist lawyer for insurance law at the Berlin law firm Wittig-Ünalp – he says to BILD: “Ms. Meis had to report to her insurance company that scaffolding had been erected. Because scaffolding increases the risk of a house and the higher floors being broken into. This also applies if it is on a neighboring house.”

Sylvie Meis did not want to comment on a BILD request.
