Former Australian cricket team bowler Fred Lee has criticized the team selection for the T20 World Cup series as the Indian cricket team has parked the world’s best car in its garage. He said this about not including the young bowler of the Indian team.
T20 World Cup series is going to start on 16th. A total of 16 teams including India will participate in this series. The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Indian team for this series. Bumrah, who was part of the team, is out due to injury. His replacement is yet to be announced.
“You have the best car in the world at your disposal. But, you have it parked in the garage. Then what is the point of keeping it? Umran Malik should have been included in India’s World Cup squad. He is a young player. Haven’t played much in internationals. But he is capable of bowling at 150 kmph. He should have been included in the team. And his bowling on Australian pitches will be on another level. “There is a lot of difference between him and the bowler who bowls at 140 kmph,” said Fred Lee.
It is reported that Umran Malik is not going to Australia due to visa issue. Mohammad Siraj and Mohammad Shami substitute Shardul Thakur are included in the Indian team. All three of them have left for Australia.
