by time news

Taipei: Taiwan says it will deploy US drones to counter China’s airstrikes across the border. The key decision came after a meeting with U.S. representatives in Washington on defense issues. During the talks, it was agreed to hand over Peladin’s self-propelled hoisters, M2 tanks, FL16 aircraft and M142 missile system to Taiwan. In addition, Taiwan’s Defense Minister Chiu Ko Cheng has announced that US-made drones will be used to strengthen border surveillance.

China has flown more than 50 planes over Taiwan’s airspace in the past two months. The US presence in the Pacific has also provoked China. China has been scattering mines in the sea since the US mobilized its navy.
