Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Health Department has released a report on the current corona situation in Tamil Nadu.
The third wave of corona infections has begun to spread rapidly and the incidence of infection has been declining over the past few days. In Tamil Nadu, the number of corona infections has dropped to less than 1,500 in the last 24 hours.
That is, 1,252 people have been confirmed to have corona infection. The number of victims has increased to 34 lakh 41 thousand 783. The number of patients has been reduced to 23 thousand 772.
Six people who were treated for corona have died. The total death toll from the corona has risen to 37,962. Three died at private hospitals and three at government hospitals.
Today, 4,768 people have recovered from the corona infection, bringing the total number of survivors so far to 33 lakh 80 thousand 049.
The highest number of 285 cases were reported in Chennai, 214 in Coimbatore, 105 in Chengalpattu, 57 in Tirupur, 48 in Salem and 69 in Erode.
