Chennai: In a significant move, the Tamil Nadu government has issued a transfer order for 33 IPS officers in the state. The reshuffle includes the transfer of IPS officers in Salem, Trichy, Sivagangai, and Mayiladuthurai districts.

Salem SP Sivakumar has been reassigned as the SP of the Anti-Idol Smuggling Unit, while Varun Kumar IPS takes charge as the new Trichy SP. Additionally, Arun Kaplan IPS has been appointed as the new Salem SP.

Further changes include the appointment of Pon. Karthik Kumar, formerly the Economic Offenses Branch SP, as the Adyar Assistant Commissioner. Meena assumes the role of Mayiladuthurai SP, while Ankit Jain, who previously served as the Economic Offenses Branch SP, is now posted as the Assistant Commissioner of T. Nagar, Chennai.

Pawan Kumar Reddy, who was the Assistant Commissioner of Vannarpet, has been appointed as the Assistant Commissioner of Law and Order in Tambaram. Arvind IPS has taken over as the Sivaganga SP, and Sakthivel, the Chennai South Assistant Commissioner of Transport, is now assigned as the Assistant Commissioner of Vannarpet.

Mahendran, the Adyar Assistant Commissioner, has been appointed as the Anti-Bribery SP in Chennai. Another notable transfer involves Tambaram Deputy Commissioner Athiveerapandian, who has been posted as the Naga Coast Guard SP.

Furthermore, Trichy SP Sujith Kumar has been transferred to the position of Madurai South Enforcement Division SP. S.B, who was previously on the waiting list, has now been assigned as the Assistant IG in the office of the Director General of Police.

Overall, a total of 33 IPS officers, including the aforementioned individuals, have been subjected to various transfers across Tamil Nadu. This significant reshuffle aims to strengthen the administration and enhance law enforcement capabilities in different districts.
