THIRUVANANTHAPURAM—The death of director Manu James, 31, due to jaundice before the release of his first film, has left the Malayalam film industry in mourning.
Manu James made his debut in the Malayalam film industry as a child star in the year 2004 with the film I’m Curious.
After this, he worked as an assistant director in Malayalam, Kannada and Bollywood films.
He directed the Malayalam film Nancy Rani starring Ahana Krishna, Sunny Wayne and Aju Varghese. After the shooting was over, other work was going on. The film is slated to hit the screens in a few weeks.
Manu James was recently admitted to a private hospital in Aalua, Kerala due to jaundice. He died yesterday without treatment. He is survived by his wife Naina and two sons.
