A black handbag was found lying unattended at the second gate of the domestic terminal at the Chennai International Airport, Chennai.
Similarly, another bag was found in the parking lot. The persons there informed the CISF personnel about the bags lying unclaimed for a long time.
Subsequently, bomb experts from the Central Industrial Security Force came with a sniffer dog and searched the bags.
In this, it was revealed that ‘there are no dangerous materials’. After that, the bags were handed over to the terminal manager for those who missed it.
Officials said that passengers often forget and misplace their bags. There was tension at the airport for a while due to unaccounted for bags.
