Chittamur: More than 300 villagers live in Orangavali village under Kattudevattur Panchayat near Chittamur.
The village cemetery is in the field area.
Villagers have been requesting the government authorities for many years to provide road access to the graveyard.
Till now, no steps have been taken to construct a road to the graveyard, so the villagers are suffering to go to the graveyard.
Also, during the rainy season, water stagnates in the outer parts of the field where the burial path is, so they carry the body for a long time on their shoulders and bury it.
Therefore, the villagers have requested that the departmental authorities should investigate and take immediate steps to construct a road to the graveyard.
