BJP candidate for South Chennai constituency Tamilisai Soundararajan rallied support to Rajasthan youth organizations yesterday. Union Minister Anurag Singh Tagore, Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP State Vice President Narayanan Tirupathi, State Secretary Karate Thiagarajan and many other BJP officials participated in the support meeting in D. Nagar.
Tamilisai Soundararajan spoke on the program and said: Do the people of South Chennai want a visible MP or an invisible MP? do you want Visible MP I look forward to seeing, talking and working with people as people. Dravidian parties are nervous about the growth of BJP in Tamil Nadu.
Kanimozhi has said that since there is no person in the BJP to contest the elections, BJP has made Tamilisai to resign from the post of governor. When Kanimozhi, who was in Tihar Jail, contested the Lok Sabha elections, should I not contest as the Governor in the Raj Bhavan? Because there is no man in DMK, are they making their families like Kanimozhi, Dayanidhi, Udayanidhi stand as candidates in the elections? Democracy is only in BJP.
It is only in the BJP that even a philanthropist gets a chance to contest elections. Thus he spoke. Tamilisai Soundararajan then told the media that all those campaigning in support of DMK candidates including Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Udayanidhi, Kanimozhi and others are not gathering votes by talking about the achievements of DMK.
Instead, they are criticizing me for contesting after resigning from the post of governor. DMK cannot ask for votes by citing achievements. South Chennai MP has nothing to ask for votes by saying it is an achievement.
I didn’t just go to campaign. I also go on to note the issues in the block. I will stand on the streets and fight against DMK. I will bring out all the failures of DMK one by one. DMK members chant my name more times during the campaign. That is my victory.”
