Cleared for publication: One of those murdered in the combined stabbing attack this morning (Tuesday) in the Ariel industrial area is Tamir Avichai, a resident of Kiryat Netafim in Samaria. Avichai was 50 years old when he died, the father of six children, five daughters and a son between the ages of 12 and 29.

The head of the Shomron Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, who knew the murdered man, mourned his death and said: “This is a difficult moment for all of us. Three murdered and 3 wounded. We hug the family and the village of Kiryat Netafim in this difficult moment. Tamir was a bright person, full of goodness, And with the desire to help other people, a man of kindness, a Zionist person in all his limbs, always when I would meet him he would say hello with his broad smile. All his acquaintances loved him. The bright and happy flower was picked by the malicious hand of barbarians.”
The settlement of Kiryat Netafim said: “We are shocked and saddened to announce the passing of our friend, a resident of the settlement, Tamir Avichai Yad. Tamir was murdered by a despicable terrorist on Route 5. We send a warm hug and lots of strength to his family and children. The Kiryat Netafim community will do everything it can to help the family.”
The date of Avichai’s funeral has not yet been determined.
