Tragic Event: Child Dies After Receiving Vaccination in Thanjavur
Tanjore, – In a devastating incident, a ten-month-old girl named Taranika lost her life soon after receiving vaccination at an Anganwadi center in Dharayur, Thanjavur district. The parents, Satish Kumar and Geetha, hailing from Madigai area, were asked to bring their child for the ten-month vaccination at the Anganwadi center in Daryaur.
Upon administering the vaccine, the child immediately suffered an allergic reaction and lost consciousness. Alarmed by the situation, the distraught parents rushed Taranika to the Government Primary Health Center in Budur village, Kasavalanadu. However, doctors at the center administered four more injections in an attempt to stabilize her condition, which unfortunately exacerbated her deteriorating health.
Realizing the severity of the situation, the doctors made a quick decision to transfer the child and her parents to the Thanjavur Government Rasamirasudhar Hospital for further treatment. Shockingly, upon their arrival, the doctors at the hospital declared that the child had already passed away.
Geetha, the grieving mother, recounts how her daughter’s health took a turn for the worse immediately after receiving the vaccine. She shares that they rushed to the primary health center, where the child’s condition continued to deteriorate due to the vaccination. Geetha and her husband were then transferred to the Thanjavur Government Hospital by the primary health center doctor.
However, Geetha expressed her disappointment, claiming that they were abandoned by the doctor upon arrival at the government hospital. She recalls that they were informed of their child’s demise before even getting a chance to see the doctor. Geetha firmly believes that her baby’s death is a direct result of the vaccination and demands a thorough investigation into the matter.
The grieving parents insist that appropriate action must be taken against those responsible. They have decided to protest and withhold their child’s body until the true cause of her death is established. It is an unimaginable tragedy for the couple, who had hopes and dreams for their ten-month-old daughter, Taranika.
The incident highlights the importance of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations. The concerned authorities must conduct a comprehensive inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding Taranika’s death and address any potential issues with the vaccination itself.
