The sale of TCB products including rice at subsidized prices to one crore family card holder low income families across the country will start from Tuesday (May 7).

It is said in the circular that under the overall guidance of the Ministry of Commerce, under the initiative of the Prime Minister, the sale of TCB products (edible oil and pulses) at affordable prices, including rice, is underway among one crore beneficiary card-holding families of low income. In continuation of this, May sales activities will start from Tuesday (May 7) across the country.
The notification further states that this sales activity will be conducted from dealers’ shops or designated permanent establishments with the overall cooperation of City Corporation, District and Upazila administrations and according to their scheduled date and time plan.
It is also said that the sale program will be inaugurated by Ahsanul Islam Titu, State Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, at Ward No. 18 (North City) adjacent to Baridhara Park No. 8 Road, Dhaka Kalachandpur Naddar at 9:30 am on Tuesday. Card holders can purchase 2 liters of oil at Tk 100, 2 kg of lentils at Tk 60 and 1 kg of rice at Tk 30.
