TCS hiring, TCS: Famous IT company offering jobs in lakhs! – Tata consultancy services company planning to give lakhs of job opportunities this year

In 2020, the Indian IT industry suffered a lot after the corona virus. Revenues of IT companies declined. Many people lost their jobs. Many people were laid off to cut costs. Similarly, the number of new hires has also been reduced. There was also a backlash in promotions and salary hikes. However, because of the facility of working from home, layoffs were not on a large scale. To some extent IT companies have managed to cope with the situation.

After the reduction of the corona virus and the return to normality, there was a gradual development in the IT sector. New jobs also started increasing. Now that the new year has begun, IT companies have also started focusing on providing new job opportunities. India’s largest IT company TCS has announced that it will create 1.25 lakh new jobs in the coming financial year 2023-24.

The company had cut down on new hires for the October-December 2022 quarter. At that time 2,197 people were dismissed from their jobs. With this, the total number of employees of TCS company decreased to 6.13 lakh in the December quarter. However, TCS is planning to provide employment opportunities to many people in the near future.

Rajesh Gopinath, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company, said that although the number of new hires decreased in the December quarter, overall there was no major setback from the previous year. He also said there had been adequate hiring in the previous 18 months. He is optimistic that there will be 1.25 lakh to 1.50 lakh recruitments in the next year.

TCS has provided employment to a total of 1.03 lakh people in the financial year 2022. For the financial year 2023-24, 42,000 freshers have been given job opportunities till December. Out of this, only 7000 people got jobs in the third quarter alone. Similarly, 35,000 people have been employed by TCS in the first six months.

Despite the decline in employment in the previous months, job seekers in the IT sector are happy as TCS has decided to create more jobs in 2023.
