Teen Drug Runners Jailed for Over 23 Years in Brutal King’s Cross Murder

A London court has sentenced three teenagers to more than 23 years in prison for the brutal murder of Anthony Marks, a 51-year-old man, in a shocking case highlighting the violence associated with county lines drug operations. The gang, who posed for smiling selfies before and after the attack, carried out a savage retribution assault that left Marks with fatal injuries.

The Savage Attack at King’s Cross

On August 10, 2024, at approximately 5:25 am, police discovered Anthony Marks at King’s Cross Station suffering from severe head and arm injuries. He succumbed to those injuries over a month later, on September 14, 2024. The investigation revealed a disturbing sequence of events, beginning with a confrontation stemming from a robbery within the drug network the teenagers were involved in.

According to Marks’ own account to police, the incident began near some bins where he was “messing around with his crack pipe” when a member of the group, known as ‘Ghost’, accused him of knowing who had stolen drugs from one of the girls. Marks stated that ‘Ghost’ then struck him five times with the bumper of a car, knocking out a tooth, before he and the two other girls chased him down the road. He described being repeatedly kicked and struck with a green gin bottle before losing consciousness.

Identification and Conviction

Detectives meticulously pieced together the case using CCTV footage, mobile phone forensics, and evidence recovered from the teenagers’ devices. Photos and videos taken on the night of the killing showed the group posing for selfies and laughing, images that proved crucial in placing them at the scene.

Jaidee Bingham, 18, known as ‘Ghost’ of Dagenham, was unanimously found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey on October 30, 2025. Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy, 18, and Mia Campos-Jorge, 19, were found guilty of manslaughter by a majority verdict. The court heard that Marks was initially hit with a car bumper, then chased, stamped upon, and repeatedly beaten with a gin bottle during a sustained and brutal attack.

The Role of County Lines

The case offers a stark insight into the ruthless brutality of county lines gangs, according to Detective Inspector Jim Barry of the Met’s Specialist Crime North. “This is a particularly callous murder that gives an insight into the ruthless brutality of county lines gangs,” he stated. The teenagers, who were 16 and 17 at the time of the killing, were working for a drug gang when the incident occurred.

The court was told the three began working for a county lines drug gang on the evening of August 9, 2024. After one of the girls was robbed, Bingham was tasked with finding out who had taken the drugs. The group believed Mr Marks knew what had happened and confronted him around 5am on August 10. Messages recovered from their phones appeared to reference the incident, further linking them to the crime.

Judge’s Remarks and Sentencing

Judge Mark Dennis, KC, emphasized the vulnerability of the victim and the severity of the assault. “The deceased was involved in what started as a minor altercation which then developed into an exchange of blows and unlawful assault and a chase as he endeavoured to run away,” he said. “Having fallen to the ground he was subjected to kicks and then struck at least twice to the head with a glass bottle.” He further noted that Marks was repeatedly struck while on the floor and attempting to escape.

The three teenagers have now been sentenced to a combined total of more than 23 years in prison for their roles in the killing, bringing a measure of justice for Anthony Marks and sending a clear message about the consequences of involvement in violent drug-related crime.
