Tortona,Italy – A young migrant from Cameroon was fatally stabbed in an attempted robbery near teh Tortona train station on Tuesday,sending shockwaves through the community. Ange Jordan Tchombiap,who had arrived in Italy just two months ago adn was staying at a reception center in isola S. Antonio, was targeted by assailants who sought too steal his electric scooter.According to Remo Grasso, director of the reception center, a collaborator alerted them to the incident. “While passing near the station, Ange was attacked by individuals trying to rob him of his scooter,” Grasso explained. “A stab wound to the chest proved fatal, and we were informed by the hospital that he had passed away.”
Grasso expressed his sorrow and highlighted the ongoing issue of degradation at the Tortona train station. “Regrettably, everyone knows that there has been a situation of decline at the Tortona station for some time,” he stated.
Tchombiap’s tragic death comes after he had already endured immense hardship. He had lost his brother who died while attempting to reach Europe.
Carabinieri are currently investigating the incident and have apprehended a young man from North Africa. They are actively pursuing a second suspect believed to be involved in the crime.
