The survey, which was carried out in August 2023 and among 4,069 participants residing in Austria, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom, indicates that 56% of Spaniards believe that by 2033 the new form of transport The more popular the autonomous vehicle will be. However, traditional means of transport such as public transport, cycling and micromobility will continue to be part of everyday life in the next ten years.

On the other hand, 58% of Spaniards believe that electric rickshaws or tricycles (47%) and electric tuk-tuks (41%) would be added to these traditional options as new ways of getting around cities. The study also concludes that the present and future of urban mobility are clearly linked to sustainability, since 81% of Spanish respondents advocate a greater promotion of sustainable mobility practices. The electric car is positioned as one of the main means of sustainable transportation. This vehicle can save 69% in CO2 emissions.

Freenow is currently seeing increased demand for these vehicles within the app. Car sharing users have increased by 34% in 2023 (compared to 2022). Users of electric bikes have also done the same (+25%).
