In the last days of December, we received the next proposals of the Azerbaijani side regarding the peace treaty, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced at the press conference held at the Foreign Ministry.
“On January 4, we forwarded the next Armenian proposals. I would say that in terms of content, we see some regression in some parts of the text, and some progress in some other directions. We have worked very constructively on those proposals, we have sent our proposals, which, I am sure, are very constructive. Regardless of whether any article of the current proposal is progress or regression, the final peace must be anchored on several fundamental principles, which we have popularized many times,” said Ararat Mirzoyan.
The minister said that the territorial integrity and the inviolability of the borders are the issues where the Republic of Armenia cannot allow any uncertainty.
“Any uncertainty is a great foundation and fertile ground for further aggressions and escalations. If we establish peace, then we establish a peace that will not lay the foundations for further escalation.”
