In March 1999, the first broadcast of “Nicole – Decision in the Afternoon” flickered across the screens. That was 25 years ago now.
At the end of the 1990s, various talk shows dominated German television. In addition to TV greats of the time such as Arabella Kiesbauer, Andreas Türck and Hans Meiser, Nicole Noevers also attracted numerous viewers to their home screens with “Nicole – Decision in the Afternoon” for almost three years. It’s been around 25 years since the first episode aired – a lot has changed in Nicole Noevers’ life since then.
In March 1999 the first episode of “Nicole – Decision in the Afternoon” was shown on TV. From then on, the now 55-year-old discussed topics from everyday life where a decision had to be made and discussed possible solutions with her guests. However, the ProSieben program was discontinued at the end of 2001 and the last episode was broadcast on December 7th.
After “Nicole – Decision in the Afternoon” was canceled, the journalist continued her career in front of the camera for the time being. From 2003 to 2006 she hosted the evening magazine “K1 Journal”.
Afterwards, however, she withdrew from the public eye and built a new center of life in France. She and her husband had two daughters, born in 2008 and 2009. In 2010 she moved to Munich with her family, but returned to France in 2020.
Nicole Noevers’ career off camera
After the end of her TV career, Nicole Noevers moved more in the background. According to her LinkedIn profile, she worked as a business coach from 2010 and later also supported start-ups. “Today, the presenter and certified business coach passes on her practical experience and television know-how to managers and start-ups in individual team training and individual sessions,” the site says.
However, after moving to France for the second time, she further reduced her workload. “My family is my greatest happiness. And for them, I consciously decided not to work full time anymore. For many years I thought I wouldn’t be able to have children. Now it gives me such great joy to be there for them, them to watch them grow up, to accompany them and to take this task seriously,” she said on t-online in 2021. Read the entire interview here.
Since then, things have become quite quiet around Nicole Noevers. The former “Nicole – Decision in the Afternoon” presenter has almost completely withdrawn from the public eye.
